Begonia amphioxus is an exotic begonia with a shrub-like growth habit. The leaves are lance shaped and pointed at both ends. The large maroon spots on the narrow green leaves give it an “other worldly” appearance. This plant is not for a beginner!
Amphioxus Care:
Light: Medium light
Water: Allow soil to dry out a little between waterings. Don’t allow it to become bone dry!
Soil: Right now, these cuttings are potted up in a sphagnum moss/perlite mix. When the cuttings have established roots, you can move them into a loose, well draining soil.
Humidity: This begonia thrives in VERY high humidity. The Lilly Pad’s mother plant lives in a glass cloche to boost and maintain consistent humidity.
